You think that broom is just for cleaning up? We use it for everything, including some weight training in between cleaning up the office after a workout. Thrusters are a great exercise for the whole body but they will really get your thighs and shoulders burning, even without any heavy duty weight.
Start in standing and bring your broom to your chest, parallel to the floor. Come down into a slight squat by bending your knees and then come all the way up while you "thrust" the broom overhead. Make sure to use your legs to get the power and not just rely on your shoulders. Repeat over and over again until you need to get back to your chores.
