Inner Thigh Stretch
There are some stretches that just simply feel good; the inner thigh stretch is one of them. The body mechanics of this stretch are so different than the normal range of motion in our legs, and we believe that's what feels so good. This stretch activates the hip adductors, which helps bring your legs and hips toward the center line of your body. The inner thigh stretch pushes the hips open, stretching the inner thighs. Start conservatively to prevent overexertion and injury.
Instructions:
Lay flat on your back on a firm mattress or choose the floor. Press the soles of your feet together and let your knees fall to the side. Place your hands on your upper thighs and gently press to open your legs up. You should feel a comfortable strain in your groin muscles while you concentrate on pushing your knees as close to the floor as your body allows. Hold the stretch for 15 seconds before attempting to deepen the stretch.
