Neck Stretch On The Road
This is a great stretch post work for all you hip.fit lovers that work at a computer all day. We have all experienced that neck stiffness and aching feeling after a long day of work. You have probably grabbed your neck a handful of times or rolled your head around to relieve that pain. Let's use this stretch to get out ahead of the problem for tomorrow at work while avoiding any medication. Or even better, embarrass your kids when you are driving them around with your new stretches you learned from hip.fit.
Once you stop at a street light, sit up in your chair with good posture, chest forward, and not hunched over. Keep your hands on the wheel, and very importantly, keep your shoulder level and do not move them during the stretch. With your eyes fixed to a point in the distance, tilt your head over to one side slowly. Go until the side of the neck opposite of where your head is leaning gets tight, and you feel slight resistance without pain. Hold that position for 30 seconds. Relax and repeat for the other side. By that time, the light is probably green and you can be on your way.
