Standing Forward Bend Bedside

If you wake up every morning with back pain you might want to look into getting a new bed. If that's not an option, try this simple stretch right after you wake up to get your back to loosen up and get ready to conquer the day.


When you get out of bed, reach down while in standing for the ground, hinging at your hips and feel the stretch in your back. You want to hang at the bottom of this position, not bouncing and not reaching too much for the floor. If your hamstrings are tight you can bend your knees a bit to feel the stretch more in your low back. Hold that position for 30 seconds and then get going on seizing the day!
