Standing Quadriceps Stretch
Don't let tight, stiff and sore quads get in the way of your busy schedule today. Believe it or not, problems with your quads can actually affect balance and cause low back pain. Ain't nobody got time for that! A few minutes of Standing Quadricep Stretches goes a long way to increase flexibility, improve circulation and reduce stress and strain to this large muscle group. You can even vary the force and direction of this stretch in this standing position.
Stand at arms length next to a sturdy wall and place your left hand on the wall. Shift your weight to your left foot and lift your right foot off the ground. Grasp the top of your foot. Gently pull your heel back toward the buttocks. Keep your thighs pressed together with your right knee in line with your left. Hold the stretch for 30 seconds then drop your foot and repeat on the other side.
