In your fitness journey, sometimes the simplest movements can have a tremendous impact. Walking on your tip toes is one of those movements. It's such an easy exercise, you might even feel guilty for calling it a workout. Truth is, it's a bonafide micro-workout that mirrors hip.fit's calf raises. Walk on your tip toes at convenient times during the day and you'll strengthen two powerful muscles crucial to walking and standing; the gastrocnemius and soleus.
Before you decide to stand or walk on your tiptoes, warm the muscles in your feet with some easy arch and ankle stretches. Then place both feet together to establish symmetry and raise both heels simultaneously. Step forward, keeping only the balls of your feet and toes on the ground. You'll feel tightness in your calves as your leg muscles contract. Walk on your toes for 1 to 3 minutes then return to a flat-footed stance on the floor.
